The Borough seeks a Public Works Laborer (skilled laborer preferred) to join its team and contribute to the ongoing care and improvement of local infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Borough vehicles and equipment (dump trucks, pickups, utility vehicles, compressors, saws, pumps, etc.).
- Perform street and infrastructure maintenance: pavement cutting, ditch digging, pipe laying/backfilling, stormwater system work, and street sign installation/repair.
- Maintain Borough parks and properties: mowing, trimming, landscaping, and general upkeep.
- Perform building maintenance and repairs such as painting and cleaning.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment; maintain records and report needed repairs.
- Work as part of a team while following all safety and security protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by the Public Works Street Supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- U.S. citizenship and valid PA driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods in all weather conditions.

- Comfortable with structured tasks and steady work routines.
- Willingness to learn and grow into future supervisory responsibilities.
Salary & Benefits
Competitive pay is based on experience and qualifications:
- Starting Range (Unskilled): $19.50 – $21.50/hour
- Experienced/Top-Out: $23 – $24/hour
- Skilled/CDL: $23 – $25/hour (Top-Out $28 – $30/hour)
- Additional Premiums: CDL/heavy equipment pay differential, and overtime in accordance with applicable statutes.

Work Environment
- Frequent outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Regular lifting (up to 40 lbs frequently; up to 100 lbs occasionally).
